New Job!

The New Job!

Well folks I am completing my first week on my new job as an Instructional Program Coordinator with Centennial BOCES. It has been a good transition. The nice part of my position is I am still connected with the Newcomer Academy in Fort Morgan. This summer I get the opportunity to provide regional support to a number of programs that we have going in the Fort Morgan Area. The following list contains the programs being offered:

  1. Migrant Learning Labs- 2 labs ( Pioneer Elementary and MENA) two sessions per day Monday through Thursday 8:30-11:30 & 12:30-3:30 (currently have approximately 65 students and parents participating)
  2. Project READY – service delivery for Out of School Youth migrant students ( nights and weekends) currently have approximately 33 individuals participating.
  3. Advancing Refugee Academic Readiness- Partnership with Lutheran Family Services – 15 targeted newcomer students K-6, Monday through Thursday 8:30-11:30 also at Pioneer Elementary.

The programs are scheduled to run through the end of July. I will post some photos from programs in next post.

I am blessed to join a great group of people at CBOCES and still keep the connection with my former employer. I am learning how to write the Title Consolidated grant application for twelve of our member districts. Big learning curve, with great support!
